16. OPERATING THE WORD OF GOD WITH CONFIDENCE

The mind of a person can sometimes be filled with doubt and lack of confidence after praying to God concerning certain issues. 1 John 5:4 makes us to understand that: "Now this is the confidence that we have in Him, that if we ask anything according to His will, He hears us.

How can a person develop confidence in the Word of God? Listen: You need to know how to operate according to God's system. First of all, you get into the Word of God. Secondly, you believe His Word, and thirdly, you stand on His Word. One can do no better until one knows better. Faith is a practical expression of the confidence that you have in God and in His Word. The key word is 'CONFIDENCE'. Confidence is going to require faith, full trust, total reliance, and total commitment in God and His ability to meet our needs.

Be rest assured that confidence grows as you begin to exercise it. You must spend time with God's word and experience His Word in order to develop that confidence. When trouble or situation arises, you quickly go to the word in which you have built your confidence and have trust in. The enemy will try to get you to throw your confidence away. Hebrew 10:35-36 declares "Therefore do not cast away your confidence, which has great reward. For you have need of endurance, so that after you have done the will of God, you may receive the promise. Do not let what you see, feel, or touch change what you say you have confidence in.
